After a long career in teaching I took early retirement in 2013. At the same time my husband and I moved to Anstey and I applied to become a governor at Latimer School as I felt I still had much to offer in an educational setting and I also wanted to get involved in the local community.
So I have been a governor of Latimer for over 10 years and have taken on a number of different roles on the governing body, all of which I have enjoyed greatly. Currently I am particularly involved with Special Needs provision and Safeguarding.
I am also very busy with looking after grandchildren and walking dogs!
